FAW Wuxi Diesel Engine Works (FAWDE), was founded in 1943. is one of the largest diesel engine manufacturers in China and FAW group in 1992.

FAWDE is one of the best manufacturers of the internal combustion engine industry in China. It occupies an area of more than 800 000 square meters, with a fixed asset valued 5.9 billion RMB and intangible asset valued 10 229 billion RMB. The annual product output is over 650 000 engines as well as 15 000 special and resembaly trucks. It is the largest R&D, manufacture base for diesel engine in China. FAWDE has 7 product families which named W, X, K, F, L, M and N series, with the power ranging from 17 kW to 330 kW, Products have met from Euro I to Euro IV.

FAWDE has created several “top one” record in China diesel engine industry, including: 1st crankshaft of spherical graphite cast iron, 1st air-cooled diesel engine, 1st auto power generation set, 1st turbocharged diesel engine and 1st diesel engine with 4 valves per cylinder. The products have been applied to the gen-sets, trucks, buses, agriculture machineries and engineering machineries. The products of FAWDE have been exported to more than 40 countries and areas, such as Russia, Viet Nam, India, Ukrainian, Iran, Saudi Arabia and some other countries and areas.
